Privacy Policy

Petfosio (“the Company”) establishes and discloses this Privacy Policy in accordance with Article 30 of the Personal Information Protection Act to protect personal information and to handle any related complaints promptly and efficiently.

1. Purpose of Collecting and Using Personal Information, Items Collected, and Collection Methods

Personal information refers to information about a living individual that can identify the person directly or indirectly when combined with other information. The Company collects only the minimum amount of personal data necessary to provide its services, with the user’s consent, and uses the collected information only within the disclosed purpose.

For certain events or additional services, the Company may collect additional information such as name, phone number, or survey responses, with separate consent. In such cases, the user is deemed to have agreed when they click the consent button or submit the requested information.

The Company never collects sensitive personal information (such as race, origin, political opinions, criminal records, or health information) unless required or permitted by law and with express consent.

  • From partner organizations, in which case the partner must first obtain user consent before providing data to the Company

2. Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties

The Company does not share users’ personal information with external parties except in the following cases:

3. Entrusted Processing of Personal Information

The Company entrusts certain personal information processing tasks as follows:

    • Contractor: MalgeunSoft Co., Ltd.

    • Scope: Management and maintenance of the learning management system (LMS)

All outsourcing contracts comply with Article 25 of the Personal Information Protection Act and include strict safeguards on data security, re-subcontracting limitations, and liability for breaches. Any future changes in contractors or scope will be disclosed through this policy without delay.

4. Retention and Use Period of Personal Information

Personal data is stored and used only for the duration required by law or as consented by the user.

    • Exceptions: until the completion of investigations or settlement of any outstanding legal or financial obligations

      • Contract and payment records: 5 years

      • Consumer complaint/dispute records: 3 years

    • Records under the Telecommunications Privacy Act:

      • Communication history and base station data: 1 year

      • Internet log records and IP tracking data: 3 months

5. Destruction of Personal Information

Personal information is promptly destroyed once it is no longer necessary. When retention is required by law, data is moved to a separate database and securely stored until destruction.

 

Destruction methods:

  • Electronic files: Securely deleted so they cannot be recovered

  • Printed materials: Shredded or incinerated

6. Rights of Users and Legal Guardians

Users and legal guardians may at any time request to view, correct, delete, restrict processing, or object to the handling of their data.

Methods:

  • View and edit: Log in → My Account → Basic Info, Address Management

  • Withdraw membership: Log in → My Account → Basic Info → Delete Account

  • Withdraw newsletter consent: Log in → My Account → Turn off Newsletter Subscription

Parents of children under 14 may exercise these rights on the child’s behalf.
Requests for corrections or deletion will be promptly processed, and any third parties who received the incorrect data will be notified to make corresponding corrections.

7. Cookies and Automatic Data Collection

The Company uses “cookies” to store and retrieve user information. Cookies help maintain logins, save user preferences, analyze usage patterns, and provide customized services.

Users can choose to allow all cookies, receive alerts before cookies are saved, or reject all cookies through their browser settings. Rejecting cookies may result in reduced functionality or limited service use.

The Company employs comprehensive security measures to protect personal data:

10. Notification of Changes

Changes to this Privacy Policy will be announced at least 7 days before implementation via the “groomer0” website or by email. Significant changes affecting user rights or obligations will be announced at least 30 days in advance.
